Scripture Reading Psalm 32:1-7
PUPPETS: Butch & Mom

BUTCH: Mom, you sure were rough on Tiffany this morning.

MOM: Well, Butch, she was not suppose to be in my perfume.

BUTCH: I know, Mom, but she just wanted to smell pretty for Dad.

MOM: I know she was but she ended up making the whole house smell pretty for Dad.

BUTCH: Well, that may be so, but I know she felt better when she fessed up and let you know that she had done it.

MOM: Yes she did but she still needed to sit in her room for a time. We need to fess up when we have done something wrong.

    BUTCH: Yes, I'm sure.

MOM: What's the matter, Butch? What have you got to fess up?

    BUTCH: Nothing, mom, nothing.

MOM: Come on, Butch, what is it.

BUTCH: Well, I was over with Ned and He had some cigarettes and I smoked one.

MOM: I'm sorry to hear that.

BUTCH: Mom, I just tried to smoke one, I couldn't, it was terrible. I'm glad I confessed, I feel so much better now.

MOM: That's good, Butch. But there is something else you need to do.

    BUTCH: What's that, mom?

MOM: You need to tell God.

BUTCH: I will tell God and I know that He will give me strength to tell Ned no the next time.

MOM: How about you, boys & girls? Is there something bothering your conscience? Do you need to fess up. Fess up to God, your parents, and anyone else who is involved.

BUTCH: It is best not to get into trouble, but once you do, you need to fess up. Right.

MOM: Right, Butch. See you boys & girls.

    BUTCH: Bye everyone. (puppets down)
