PUPPET SCRIP

BUTCH: Wow, Sally, did you see what Fred brought this morning?

SALLY: No, Butch, what was it. It's been a long time since I've seen you this excited.

BUTCH: Fred brought a tractor!

SALLY: Well, isn't that what farmers are suppose to have?

BUTCH: Yes, but this is not just any kind of tractor . . . It's a John Deere tractor!!!

SALLY: You can do a lot with them, can't you?

BUTCH: If this tractor was a big one, a real one, pssss, ( low voice) don't tell Fred it's not real, he'll argue with you. (regular voice) They pull stuff.

SALLY: That's right!! Dig up a field.

BUTCH: Yup, you can do that too.

SALLY: The tractor helps you do a lot of work.

BUTCH: With a tractor you can pull, and dig, and chop, and blow.

SALLY: Yes and you can pull a manure spreader to fertilize your soil.

BUTCH: And, if you have a silo, you can use the PTO to work the blower that shoots the corn right up into the silo. The tractor is a BIG help to the farmer. It helps him do a lot of work!

SALLY: Can you imagine what it would be like if the farmer didn't have a tractor?

BUTCH: It would really be hard!

SALLY: Can you imagine how hard it would be for him to do his work if he didn't have such a worderful tool to help him?

BUTCH: Sally, can you imagine how hard it would be to do God's work if we didn't have the Holy Spirit?

SALLY: No, Butch. God gives us a very powerful helper, called the Holy Spirit, to help us do the work that God wants us to do.

BUTCH: The Holy Spirit helps us to obey our Mom and Dad. The Holy Spirit helps us live a life that makes God happy.

SALLY: Yes, farmers can be glad to have tractors to help them, but we can be glad we have this gift from God, the Holy Spirit.

BUTCH: If we didn't have the Holy Spirit, it would be very, very, very, hard, almost impossible, to do God's work.

SALLY: The farmer needs his tractor to make his work easier and we need the Holy Spirit for our work for God. Kids, ask your children's church leader about the Holy Spirit. By everyone.
