PUPPET SCRIPT

"ABOVE THE CLOUDS"
Scripture Reading Psalm 46
PUPPETS: Johnny & Grandma









    GRANDMA: Johnny, how are feeling today?

    JOHNNY: Oh, Grandma, I'm feeling much better today. Why do you ask?

    GRANDMA: I remember when you went to get on the airplane you were very sad looking.

    JOHNNY: Well, it was raining and the skies were dark and mom and dad are getting a divorce. That made for a very gloomy day.

    GRANDMA: Yes it was gloomy. It was even gloomier when we were taking off in that little air plane and the large rain drops were hitting the windshield. I remember you said they were like giant tears.

    JOHNNY: Yes they did. And I was scared. You noticed that right away. We got off the ground and it was still dark and now the clouds were coming in around us.

    GRANDMA: Yes you were scared but it was more than just the plane ride.

    JOHNNY: Yes, Grandma, and you said that God loves us and that He will take care of us. I really wanted to believe you.

    GRANDMA: I know, Johnny. But you had so much fear in your heart it was blocking your view.

    JOHNNY: Yes, and those dark clouds all around us, you said they were just fog, for that is what clouds really are.

    GRANDMA: And I told you that the plane would go right through those clouds and just wait till we get above those clouds.

    JOHNNY: And almost as quick as we went into those clouds we came out above those clouds and was it beautiful.

    GRANDMA: Yes, the sun is always shining above the clouds.

    JOHNNY: It was very beautiful and I also remember what you said.

    GRANDMA: Yes, I reminded you that our family was going through a storm right now. Things look very dark. But God is still in control. One day soon we'll break through the clouds, and life will be filled with beauty and happiness again.

    JOHNNY: How about it boys and girls. Are you going through a storm in your life?

    GRANDMA: Yes, and are you afraid of the future? Remember, even when you can't see the sun, it is shining.

    JOHNNY: Even when you can't feel God, He is near.

    GRANDMA: Trust Him, and He will lift you above the clouds. Bye Johnny. Bye boys and girls.

    JOHNNY: Bye Grandma, bye everybody.
